About
TODAY //
I currently work with U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Properties, representing commercial rights for Team USA and LA 2028. Within my role, I develop innovative new commercial strategies to help athletes and sponsors.
I serve on the Board of Directors for the Special Olympics of Northern California and for the University of Oregon Warsaw Sports Marketing Center.
UNIVERSITY OF SAN FRANCISCO //
Previously, I was an Adjunct Professor at University of San Francisco, where I taught a graduate level course on Sports Innovation. Students touted it as “the best learning experience they’ve ever had.”
SOUTH PARK COMMONS //
Previously, I was part of South Park Commons, a tech collective that helps entrepreneurs and technologists freely learn, explore new ideas and start ambitious projects. I advised early stage technology start-ups on marketing and commercial strategies, including companies in industries spanning across healthcare, childhood development, education, drone technologies and machine learning.
VISA //
At Visa, I was the Global Director of Olympic Games. In my role, I had opportunity of a lifetime to lead Visa’s partnerships across the Olympics, Paralympics and Special Olympics. In addition, I oversaw the Team Visa Athlete program, by inking contracts with over 100 Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
I pioneered Visa's acceptance campaign for Rio 2016 by making diverse athletes the cornerstone of Visa's Olympic ads. Visa's commercials featured refugee Olympians, Paralympians, and Ibtihaj Muhammad, the first American to compete in the Olympics in hijab. The campaign promoted universal acceptance of everyone, everywhere – demonstrating how Visa is relentlessly committed to providing best-in-class payment solutions to help everyone achieve their personal aspirations.
THE WAY BACK //
Before Visa, I spent four years at Octagon, a sports marketing agency in Connecticut. While there, I worked in consulting and business development. My favorite projects were running sponsorship programs at the UEFA Champions League Finals, PGA TOUR tournaments, MLB World Series and GRAMMY Awards.
Back in 2007, I was recognized by CNN, Sports Illustrated and PBS as the Youngest President of a Professional Sports Team for my time heading up the Eugene Chargers, a men's minor league professional basketball team in Eugene, Oregon.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon, where I double majored in Business and Spanish.
PERSONAL //
I currently live in Bend, Oregon and have a deep love for the outdoors. I geek out over learning foreign languages and have learned a new language each decade: English, Spanish, Portuguese and now onto Chinese. I’m happiest when reading a book a week and I track my reading list here on Goodreads. Let’s talk books!
